Existing tools were not adapted for narrative storytelling: The tools BYVP used did not support the fund’s branding and storytelling needs. BYVP needed a platform that could be adapted to their branding and provide a coherent narrative for their investors.

The Context

BYVP, a growing MENA-based VC firm, faced challenges in launching fundraising for its latest fund while engaging LPs on co-investment opportunities. Existing dataroom software did not meet their need for an LP-centric tool that unified investing and reporting experiences. In a competitive MENA fundraising environment, BYVP wanted to stand out and efficiently highlight their strong returns and compelling strategy.

Traditional dataroom software had limitations, including overwhelming analytics without actionable insights and cumbersome permission processes for institutional investors. Additionally, it wasn't adapted for showcasing co-investment opportunities, limiting content flexibility and investor actions. Available tools were workflow-centric but BYVP needed an LP-centric solution for both fundraising and co-investment opportunities.
